Car Overview
Scion xB
When Toyota launched Scion as a youth-oriented brand selling small, affordable, and frequently unusual vehicles, the intent was to make each model available for a limited time. One of the first Scions was the xB, a small car that looked like two boxes on wheels. But because the xB proved so popular, it remained part of the lineup through 2015. A second-generation redesign arrived in 2008, adding size, power, interior room, safety, and technology while retaining the model’s signature boxy design with quirky details. It held just 11.6 cubic feet of cargo behind its back seat. Fold it down, though, and the xB could handle 69.9 cu-ft of cargo. Scion offered several Series Release special-edition models adding various styling, technology, and equipment enhancements. However, after a 12-year run, the xB was discontinued after 2015. Toyota would shutter the Scion brand the following year.
